Quinn’s Weekend Adventures: Wine Tasting

The dreary weather, once again, kept us indoors most of the weekend. By Sunday afternoon we were getting a little antsy, so we defied the overcast sky, strapped little Q into his seat, and drove into the Santa Cruz mountains for a little wine tasting.

We checked out two places we’d never been before, starting with Cooper-Garrod Estate Vineyards. They have a quaint little tasting room and stables full of beautiful horses. We went home with a bottle of cabernet-franc – an inexpensive bottle by Cooper-Garrod standards, but rather pricey by ours.

The building that is now the tasting room is over 100 years old.

Matt makes a new friend.

Quinn is not a fan of horse breath.

Our second stop, Savannah-Channelle, had amazing grounds and wines. The wines were a bit out of our price range, so we came home with beautiful photos instead.

We couldn’t believe these gorgeous calla lilies were just growing at the end of the parking lot…

… that overlooked a large meadow one side…

… and the entire valley on the other.

I bet they have beautiful weddings here.

Quinn slept through most of the adventure.

Drunk on boobie milk, Q went home and slept some more.

Now, it’s time for a segment I like to call “Gratuitous photos of my devastatingly handsome son.” Enjoy!

How you doin’?

Me? Fart? No. No, that wasn’t me.

“Do-EEEEEEE” is my new favorite word.

Let’s sing that song again, Mommy, for 500th time!

Next weekend is supposed to be gorgeous, so hopefully Hubs and I can take Q on more sunshine-y adventures.
