...And sometimes F-R-R-R-iday is on Saturday

Well, it was bound to happen at some point. The last few days have been super busy, so I didn’t get around to posting the week’s F-R-R-R-iday until Saturday. After being gone for over a week, my to-do list, once again, overwhelms me. (*sigh*) Here are the R’s:

Recap

In Monday’s QWA, you saw Quinn having a great time in Kauai, swimming in the ocean for the first time, and watching the sunset.

I had my one-year blogiversary on Tuesday, and I celebrated over at JDaniel4’s Mom. I’m honored to participate in her “Pause Life for a Moment” series with my post called “Filling Holes.”

In this week’s Not-So-Wordy-Wednesday, Quinn showed off his awesomely cool faux-hawk.

Thursday, I told you all about why I blog… and why I don’t.

Referral

The week’s super awesome blogger referral is JDaniel4’s Mom, of course. She’s an amazing woman, mother, wife and writer. Her little boy is just the cutest thing, and his antics make for great stories on her blog. JDaniel4’s Mom is able to see the world through the eyes of her little one, and she allows her readers to see it, too, through her brilliant and moving writing. I walk away from her blog feeling inspired and always with a smile on my face. Her touching stories and creative ideas are worth a good read. (She oh-so-creatively serves her son lunch in muffin tins every week to make lunchtime more fun. Genius!) So why don’t you pause your life for a moment and enjoy JDaniel4’s Mom this weekend. You’ll look at your family in a whole new way.

Rewind

Quinn did really well on the flight from San Francisco to Lihue, Kauai… and almost as well on the way back. He was a little fussy on the way home since the flight was later in the day, and I don’t know any seven-month-old who wants to sit still on mommy and daddy’s laps for five hours. We got a little spoiled after our first flights with him. We took Quinn to Michigan in July to see my family, and he was an angel on the plane. He was also four months younger at the time. But I have a feeling no matter how old or fidgety Quinn gets, we’ll always travel together as a family.

Tune in next week!

Next week, you'll hear all about Quinn’s first Halloween and see adorable photos of him in costume. (My friend thinks that kids are even cuter when you dress them up like animals. Let me know if you agree after you see Q’s giraffe costume!) I’ll also tell you about a few of Q’s new tricks that are keeping me on my toes, and you’ll learn more about why I’ll probably never be a big-time blogger.

Have a happy and safe Halloween, friends!
