This week’s F-R-R-R-iday post is going up slightly late because I went out with the girls last night instead of writing my blog. Six new mommies put their babies to bed, left their hubbies in charge, and went out for margaritas. We had a great time, chatting and laughing and trying really hard not to talk about babies. I even wore heels and big earrings! Here are this week’s R’s.
In Monday’s QWA, you saw a now 7-month-old Quinn get into a little mischief, and I told you how we Q-proofed the house.
On Tuesday, I posted another “gym sighting.” This time, I told you about an unexpected tattoo.
Two years ago this week, we spent the first part of our honeymoon on Italy’s Amalfi Coast. In this week’s Not-So-Wordy-Wednesday, you saw another photo slideshow and fell in love with Positano.
Thursday, I told you how I'm learning to play like a boy, and we celebrated some of my favorite Boy Mom bloggers.
This week’s super awesome blogger referral is my friend IRL, Mischa, of Barely Keeping it Together. She’s a newbie blogger and off to a fantastic start. This woman deserves a tiara of some sort – she works full time, raises three children, supports the family business, and now blogs. Mischa is also super crafty and creative. She makes amazing cakes! Everyone tells her she should go on one of those cake shows. Her awesome blog is all about baking and other fun, adorable DIY projects. I have no idea how she finds the time!
To get you in the Halloween spirit, Mischa recently posted recipes to fun, spooky treats, such as Apple Monsters, Ogre Toes and other deliciously disgusting Halloween food. She also tells you how to make fun Fall projects, like paper wreaths for your door, fleece hats for your kiddos and glitter pumpkin candle holders for your table.
So if you need a little inspiration, you’ll find it here. Find out how Mischa is barely keeping it together, yet makes it look so stinkin’ easy.
Congrats on the blog, Mish! I'm so proud. :)
Three of my friends are pregnant right now, and we’ve been talking a bit about pregnancy brain. I remember my preggo brain all too well. I had hoped it would be temporary and I would get my brain back once the baby was born. But no. Now it’s just mommy brain. This week’s Rewind is about how I lost my mind and never got it back.
Tune in next week!
We’re leaving for Hawaii tomorrow! Whoo Hoo! Next week, I’m hosting guest bloggers for the first time – two incredible women you won’t want to miss. You’ll hear from Amanda at parenting BY dummies and Nicole from By Word of Mouth Musings. So I’m off to sip mai tai’s and daiquiris on the beach with my family, and I’m turning my blogging duties over to their capable hands.
Have a great weekend, friends! Aloha!
