F-R-R-R-iday

Man, I've been slacking off lately. Last F-R-R-R-iday’s post didn’t go up until Saturday, and I didn’t even do a post on Tuesday this week. I spent Halloween night doing Halloween stuff, and didn’t set up a post for the next day. I think I either need to get more written in advance, or I need to take a break from blogging every now and then. Probably both. Here are the R’s from this week.

Recap

In Monday’s QWA, Quinn dressed as a giraffe and celebrated his first Halloween with his friends at the pumpkin patch. You also saw some awesome 80’s hair in my blasts from Halloweens past.

There was no post on Tuesday. To review, I’ve been a slacker.

This week’s Not-So-Wordy-Wednesday was bit wordier than usual with pics of Q and his cousins before for trick-or-treating.

Thursday, I told you about three of Q’s new tricks called the chatterbox, nudist and vampire.

Referral

The week’s super awesome blogger referral is Missy from Literal Mom. I love her, and not just because we have the same name (although that does double her awesomeness). She’s a stay-at-home-mom who strives to be the best parent she can be. Missy humbly shares her successes so we can all benefit from her knowledge. She courageously shares her stumbles so we can learn from her mistakes and know that we’re not alone in this scary journey of motherhood. The goal of Literal Mom is to help parents learn to be thinking parents, to be mindful in our interactions with our children. She points out how easy it is to coast and just try to get through the day, and while sometimes those days are the best we can do, most of the time we can do better. And it’s easier to be better with the help of Missy and a great community of Literal Moms who strive toward the same goal. (Check out Literal Mom Mondays where she gives realistic, actionable parenting tips.)

So join Missy and relish in her amazing story-telling talents. She’s shares the funny, the embarrassing, the sad, and always the literal.

Rewind

I really need to start hitting the gym again. I refuse to let the crappy weather and yummy holiday food create a “winter coat” this year. Operation B4 has been on-again, off-again. So pancake-smell or not, it’s time to sweat!

Tune in next week!

I know I said I would tell you about why I’ll never be a big blogger, but that post will have to wait a bit longer. Next week, I’ll share a super funny (and mildly inappropriate) gym sighting story. I’ll also tell you about the kind of mom I wasn’t going to be… but became anyway.

Have a great weekend, friends! Stay warm!
