Quinn’s Weekend Adventures: It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas
This is a great big QWA! We had a wonderful weekend getting all ready for Christmas at our house.
On Saturday, we went on another Christmas tree cutting adventure with our good friends. We couldn’t have asked for a better day. Being out in the crisp, fall weather and beautiful sunshine. Sipping wine and scotch and laughing over a picnic lunch. Smelling the evergreens and claiming the one we want to take home.
Quinn is a big fan of his Auntie Erin, and she loves getting her baby fix.
Quinn’s been into giving kisses again lately. Here, he plants a big one on little Claire’s head.
This is our attempt at a family photo with our chosen tree before Hubs took the saw to it. If sun hadn’t been blinding poor Quinn, it might have actually been a good picture.
Here’s Hubs looking all manly and stuff. His job was to chop the tree. My job was to keep Q and myself out of the way.
That night, we put on some Christmas music and decorated Quinn’s first Christmas tree. Q was more interested in trying to eat the ornaments.
But I think he was happy with the final result.
On Sunday, Quinn watched Daddy winter-ize the yard. Someday, Q-man, you and Daddy will change places in this picture. Except Daddy will be having a beer while he watches you work.
Quinn looked awfully cute staring up at the football game that Hubs left on the TV, but I wasn’t fast enough getting out the camera without Q noticing. He knows I’m up to something.
Quinn turned his glare back to the game. He looks none too pleased with that last call.
Finally, a smile. That’s the Q we all know and love.
That night, we put the finishing touches on the tree and Christmas decorations. Yes, it’s beginning to a lot like Christmas at our house.
