F-R-R-R-iday!

So we got a little of that rain I asked for last week, but then it quickly warmed up and the sun came out again. Humph. It’s not looking good for our snow trip in a couple weeks.

This F-R-R-R-iday is going to be light, folks. We’ve got a sick baby on our hands. We’re not sure if Quinn’s got a little stomach bug or if it’s something he ate, but there’s all kinds of nastiness going on over here. You don’t even want to know.

I have the most disgusting load of laundry to do, and I bet we have a long night ahead of us, so I’m just going to give you a quick recap of the week and then try to get some sleep. No Referral or Rewind. Sorry! But if you’ve ever had a sick kid, I’m sure you know how it is. Thanks for understanding!

Here is the “R.”

Recap

In Monday’s QWA, Quinn had a great time swinging at the park and watching the Super Bowl.

On Tuesday, I had some words of advice for all first-time dads. Know someone about to have a baby? Do the woman a favor and send this to her significant other.

In this week’s Not-So-Wordy Wednesday, you saw Quinn’s awesome dance moves, which he, of course, gets from me.

Thursday, I got tagged and passed on the fun to some of my favorite bloggers. Since I’m not giving you a referral this weekend, you should definitely check those ladies out!

Tune in next week!

Next week, I’ll have some advice for non-parents who have first-time-parent friends. Wondering what happened to your friends who used to be so cool and fun before their little bundle of joy arrived? I’ll try to explain.

Have a great weekend, friends!

  1. My husband and I were just talking about the time our first born was so sick with a stomach bug. It was awful!! They are so little and all those things coming out of everywhere is just heartbreaking. Not to mention the amount of laundry one sick baby produces. I think I had as many "costume" changes as my son. Just so you know that was 12 years ago!! Hope whatever he has goes away fast and that you get to enjoy your weekend. I'm very impressed you put out a post!! Thoughts and prayers are with you!!

  2. I'm sorry to hear Quinn is sick. Hope he has a speedy recovery. It's never fun when little ones are sick, a stomach bug is the worst!!! We are on day two of having the kids home sick... the whole household got knocked out... ugh!

  3. Sometimes getting sleep is the most important thing!

    1. I agree! This morning, Q took a two-and-a-half-hour nap. I decided that was a good idea and took one myself. And I never nap. Blissful.
