F-R-R-R-iday!

This non-winter we’re having isn’t so bad. It’s been in the seventies most of the week. It’s perfect weather for long walks, trips to the park, and sitting outside enjoying a snack (Starbucks for Mommy and “wagon wheels” for Q-ball).

We might not have much snow for our trip to Lake Tahoe next week, but I’ve snowboarded on machine-made snow before. It’s not great, but not too bad. I stay out of the trees and stick to the wide, blue runs anyway. But the forecast calls for real snow next week while we’re there, so I’m crossing my fingers!

Here are the “R’s.”

Recap

In Monday’s QWA, Quinn decided he liked bubbles.

On Tuesday, I finally mustered up the courage to write about my experience with post-partum depression after Quinn was born.  The outpouring of support I received after this post has been incredible. Thank you all for your comments, emails and direct messages. I’m so blessed to be part of such a loving, supportive blogging community.

In this week’s Not-So-Wordy Wednesday, you my handsome devil crank up the charm. And yes, that glint in his eye is definitely mischief!

On Thursday… I didn’t post anything! See, I told you I was going to start taking Thursdays off. I almost posted something, but I think I’ll save it for another week.

Referral

This week’s super awesome blogger referral is Susi from Boca Frau. Sound familiar? I mentioned Susi once before when she tagged me a while back. I really like Susi, and I think you will, too. She migrated to The States from Germany, and she’s relatively new to blogging. If you’re going to move to the U.S., Boca Raton is the place to be. Susi’s photos are just beautiful. This one is breathtaking.

Susi writes about motherhood, being a naturalized citizen of our great country, and all-around life stuff. I like her because she’s honest about all of it – the challenges and rewards, the ups and downs. I’m sure we can all relate to that!

Susi is a great writer with a lot to offer her readers. I’m so glad she started this blog. Check her out this weekend. I dare you to resist the urge to book the next flight to Florida!

Rewind

Quinn is finally getting braver with finger foods. Until recently, unless you put Puffs in front of him, he just pushed the food around with his finger and whined about it. Now, he’ll eat almost anything you put on his tray! Even bananas. Yes, that’s right. Remember when he hated bananas? This video still cracks me up.

Tune in next week!

We’re going to the snow on Sunday. I can’t wait! Fours days of snowboarding and fun family time. So next week’s NSWW should include some amazing photos of our trip and Q in the snow. Also, I’ll talk about my first year of being a stay-at-home-mom.

Have a great weekend, friends!
