Not it!

I’ve been tagged by Susi from Boca Frau! I actually like these little bloggy memes. Not only do I get introduced to new bloggers, but I get to sing the praises of some of my favorites and remind you how awesome they are.

For this one, I’m to answer the ten questions below and then “tag” a few of my favorite bloggers.

1. Describe yourself in seven words
Not in any particular order: creative, stressed, expressive, germophobe, marketer, wife, mommy. (I resisted the urge to write “mommy” seven times, even though that feels about right these days.)

2. What keeps you up at night?
Is that the baby crying? Is it too cold in his room? Too hot? Did he get enough to eat today? He might wake up hungry soon. Did I give him his medicine? Yes, I did. Okay good. Shit, I forgot to sew that toy with the rip in it. I’ll do that tomorrow. I need to call the pediatrician’s office, too. And I need to buy wrapping paper for Q’s birthday presents. I should write this down. No, I’ll remember. Who am I kidding? No, I won’t. Wait. Is that the baby crying?....

3. Who would I like to be?
You know, I can’t think of anyone else I’d rather be. My life’s not perfect, but it’s pretty damn good. I have a wonderful husband who loves me and whom I love right back, an adorable baby boy I can’t get enough of, and everything I could ever need.

But if I had to pick someone, maybe Julia Roberts? I love Julia.

4. What am I wearing now?
I hate to admit it, but I’m wearing the mom-iform: yoga pants (no, I did not go to yoga today, nor do I plan to), a long-sleeved tee, a ponytail, and barely enough make-up to be presentable enough for the public eye.

5. What scares me?
The thought of anything happening to Quinn or my Hubs. Mortality is so much more real now that I’m a mom. Wow, my heart rate went up just typing that.

Oh, and almost every scary movie trailer. Yes, just the trailers are enough to make me not want to walk into a dark room. Yes, I’m aware that I’m a grown woman and these are just movies. Still, Paranormal Activity 3 previews gave me a serious case of the heebie jeebies.

6. What are the best and worst of blogging for me?
The best is “meeting” new people. The support that is out there is incredible. The worst is trying to keep up with my favorites and making time to leave comments. I almost always read them, but they never know I’m there. That’s actually way less stalker-ish than it sounds.

7. What is the last website I visited?
Facebook. Duh.

8. What is one thing I would change about myself?
Just one? I need to chill. I’m anxious all the time now that I’m a mom. I get all spun up in details that no one else thinks about (hence the keeping me up at night) and create a lot of stress for myself.

9. Slankets – yes or no?
I’ve mentioned this before. No. Hells no.

10. Say something about the person who tagged you.
I recently found Susi’s lovely blog, Boca Frau, on a linky. She’s relatively new to The States and resides in the gorgeous Boca Raton, Florida. Check out some of her beautiful sunset photos when you get a chance. Makes you wanna book a flight, right? Susi’s a total sweetheart, an excellent writer, and a wonderful new bloggy friend.

Now I get to tag some peeps. One… two… three… Not it!

Cynthia from Life By Cynthia
Missy from Literal Mom

Have you discovered these awesome ladies yet? If so, you know why I tagged them and want to share their bloggy goodness with the entire blogosphere. If not, well then, you’re welcome!

Thanks for the tag, Susi!

    1. You're quite welcome! Yeah, why does everybody hate on the mom-iform? It's clearly awesome. Rock those yoga pants! :)

    1. Other moms tell me that the fretting never stops, even after the kids are grown. I'll just stop counting the gray hairs now...
