They say be careful what you wish for. We asked for snow, and we got it! Almost too much. We had a
fabulous week at Lake Tahoe. Quinn saw, touched and ate snow for the first
time.
Hubs and I busted out the snowboards and hit the slopes…
while we got hit in the face with snow and huge wind gusts. But it was so worth
it. I loved riding down my favorite run, feeling like the old me.
I only ate shit twice. Once, I hit a huge ice chuck that was
impossible see since it was so gray out. I caught a little unexpected air and
landed on my ass. The second time, I got a little cocky on my sixth or seventh
run down and went too fast. I caught an edge and fell on my face. Consider my
ego checked.
Here are the “R’s.”
Recap
In Monday’s QWA, we took advantage of the awesome weather and hit the HMB
Brew Co., and Q put his toes in the icy ocean.
On Tuesday, I compared my first year as a stay-at-home-mom to my old corporate job. It’s been a difficult transition for me, but I’m
blessed to have the opportunity to be home with my baby boy.
This week’s Not-So-Wordy Wednesday was a bit wordy with all
the captions, but you saw lots of snow-filled photos from our trip.
Referral
I’m doing something a little different this week. Instead of
giving you one super awesome blogger referral, you get several. It’s an ode to
my Comment Goddesses. These
wonderful ladies frequently comment on my posts, share their wisdom and
insights, and offer their loyal support. They’ve each been a F-R-R-R-iday
referral before, so hopefully you’ve checked them out already. If not, here’s
your chance!
Pay these wonderful women a visit this weekend and you’ll
know why they’ve earned the “Goddess” title.

Rewind
I wasn’t sure how well I would do snowboarding this week. I’ve
only been snowboarding for four years, and last year I was pregnant so I only got in one half-day very late in the season. So technically it’s been
two years since I’ve done this. Turns out, it’s like riding a bike. After a
couple of runs, I got my snowboard legs back, and I picked up where I left off.
Tune in next week!
But only on Thursday. Yep, I’m changing it up again next
week and going on another Blog-cation.
My mom is coming to visit for Q-man’s birthday, so I’ll be spending my free with
her – chatting, sipping wine and laughing our asses off. I’ll do a “To LBK” post on Thursday though
in honor of my little man’s first birthday. Then I’ll be back with our
regularly scheduled programming on Monday, March 12, to tell you all about Q’s
birthday party and his visit with Grandma Lori.
Have a great weekend, friends!
