Quinn’s Weekend Adventures: Finally, some down time

After several busy weekends in a row (like this one, this one and this one), we finally had some down time at our house. In fact, Q stayed in his jammies all day on Friday and Sunday. That’s how blissfully low key it was around here.

The most blissful part of the weekend was Saturday night. Hubs and I were both tuckered out and went to bed not long after Quinn went down. That night, Q decided to sleep all night long. He woke up a couple times, but quickly put himself back to sleep each time, so I didn’t have to go into his room even once that night. That means this mommy got eight hours of sleep in a row! Halle-freakin’-lujah.

Since I don’t have a ton to report in this QWA, here’s a photo and a video.

Here’s Q-man in his festive St. Paddy’s Day t-shirt.

I don’t know what’s going on with his hair lately. He needs a haircut, but I can’t bring myself to cut it yet. Maybe right before Easter? Eh, or not. Maybe in a couple of months. I like the curls, so until he starts looking like a girl, I think they should stay.

Here’s a video of Q playing with one of his favorite birthday presents – a giant, yellow bouncy ball. I’ve never seen one thing entertain him for twenty minutes straight before. (Don’t worry, this isn’t a twenty-minute video. More like eighty seconds.) Big thanks to Q’s cousin D for picking this out for him!

What does he say there at the end? “A dee a day a du-uh,” or something like that. I think that’s Quinn-ese for “My mommy is the shiz-nit,” but I’m can’t be sure.

Next week’s QWA will be busy and photo-filled once again. We’re heading back to Lake Tahoe for more fun in the snow. My goal for today is to find a cheap  yet safe and sturdy – toboggan so we can take Q on the small sledding hill. And maybe a little saucer we can pull him around on. It’s going to be so cute!

What are some of your favorite snow memories from when you or your kids were little?
