Q’s Easter was hoppin’ {Quinn’s Weekend Adventures}

Sunday, Quinn celebrated his second Easter. It occurred to me that now that Q’s over a year old, there are no more “first” holidays, and I got a little sad. I barely remember his first Easter. We were still in the sleep-deprived haze of living with a newborn. At least I had my act together enough to fill a little Easter basket for him last year. It was a small bunny rabbit basket that my grandmother crocheted when I was a baby.

This year, Quinn’s Easter basket overflowed. He’s been really into playing with balls lately (*snicker*), so I went a little overboard – I mean the Easter Bunny went a little overboard – and bought Quinn seven balls. Seven. He got a five-pack of these Baby Einstein activity balls, a little soccer ball and a SpongeBob bouncy ball. He also got a couple of books and shape sorter toy. So we filled the little rabbit basket again, plus I upgraded Q to a bigger Easter basket to contain the rest of his loot.

After Quinn tore his baskets apart, we got him dressed. Q looked adorable in his little sweater vest. (Yes, another sweater vest. I can’t help it! They’re just so cute!)

Then we went to the annual Easter lunch with Hubs’ family. Q is still a little too young for the big Easter egg hunt with the other kids, but he still had a great time playing with his cousins and getting passed around all the adults.

I went to dinner with my good friend, Whitney, on Thursday night, and she gave Quinn a super soft bunny rabbit. He’s been snuggling with it ever since. It even went with him on a wagon ride.

Yep, Quinn’s second Easter was hoppin’. Now he’s one Snoozey Q

  4. I love the little sweater vests. I had a few for my son when he was little. I wouldn't get him in one now. Looks like you had a great weekend. I know what you mean by all these firsts being over. It's always bitter sweet.

    1. There just aren't as many options for cute little boy clothes as there are for little girl clothes. It seems like sweater vests are the cutest way to go for special occasions.

    1. I know! A friend of mine writes her daughter letters and plans on giving them to her in a book when she gets married. Can you imagine the water works when THAT happens?!
