Big green FAIL {Not-so-wordy Wednesday}

Fliers that are left on our front doorstep really irk me. These annoying advertisements are usually for local real estate agents, home loan scams offers, lawn care services and other such things. The fliers are left on all the front porches in the neighborhood. When the breeze picks up, they blow all over and litter our lawns and streets with pieces of paper.

Could there be a more environmentally unfriendly marketing tactic?

I came home from the store a few weeks ago to find several fliers sprinkled all over our front yard. As I picked one out of the shrubs, I realized the ad touted green e-waste recycling.

Um… huh? I hope their recycling practices are greener than their marketing practices.

That’s what I call a Big Green FAIL.

  1. Seems the opposite of what they are trying to do, doesn't it? I agree, it's a big fail.

    1. Right? Terrible marketing tactic. I feel the same way about fliers left under windshield wipers of cars in parking lots. Not only do they blow all over and people throw them on the ground when they get to their cars, they also annoy the people instead of attracting business.
