Saw-bus {Not-so-wordy Wednesday}

I’m not a coffee drinker, but I love coffee drinks – vanilla lattes, mocha frappuchinos, caramel macchiatos. Even the fat-free, sugar-free and decaf versions are little liquid desserts. Nom nom nom.

 I frequent a certain pricey coffee establishment (that I call “Five Bucks” and Quinn calls “Saw-bus”) a bit more often around the holidays. Who can say no to a Skinny Peppermint Mocha? Not me.

Quinn’s a very entertaining “Saw-bus” companion. He prefers to have nothing to do with his stroller or sippy cup. He sits in the big chair all by himself and drinks from the green plastic straw. Somehow that tiny cup of cold milk tastes better after Mommy pays three dollars for it… and after he spills half of it all over his pants.

Even though most of that three dollars will get sopped up with a napkin, the delight and pride on Q’s little face makes it worth it.

  1. $3?! You mean you don't just fill the cup up with the milk at the coffee counter?!

    1. Haha! I still can't believe that lady did that. Thievery! Although, one would argue that charging $3 for a teeny cup of milk is also thievery...

  2. Ha ha. I just had a Chai latte break with my middle daughter at Starbucks yesterday afternoon. She thoroughly enjoyed her almost $5 smoothie!!! :)It must be that green straw.

    1. I agree! That straw is magical. Now if only it removed all the calories from the beverage, it would be worth every penny. :)

  7. My kids think Saw bucks = overpriced chocolate milk

    I think that chocolate milk is worth every penny if I can get my latte
