Before
becoming a SAHM, few things
excited me more than a Banana Republic sale. My wardrobe was actually pretty cute, if I do say so
myself. … Ah, I miss those days.
Now, my closet is full of t-shirts, hoodies, yoga pants and comfy jeans, all
of which have been worn more than once (or twice) between washings and are
probably covered in some sort of schmutz. Most of my “Nanner” pants and tops
have been retired to a bin out in the garage where they wait for the day I enter the workforce again, or at
least the day I won’t be chasing a toddler through the sand pit at the park.
Let’s hope they’re still in style at that point!
Motherhood has caused me to lose all fashion sense. The Hubs, however, actually has
great taste in clothes, and bought me this outfit for Christmas. The blouse,
jacket and belt you see here were all purchased at “Nanner” by Hubs, and I didn’t
even have to send him any links. (Maybe he took pity on me or maybe he just
wanted to see his wife looking presentable again. Either way, I got a new
outfit, so YAY!)
AND… I’ve actually worn it a few times. In these pics, I’m
about to go out for dinner with my girlfriends. Here’s the uncropped version of
the above photo. A bit more realistic, eh?
The belt was a tad too long, but I found a neat trick (on
Pinterest, of course) to tie it and make it shorter.
And here’s Quinn putting some finishing touches on my outfit
before I leave, which just wouldn’t be complete without at least one booger.
So what do you think? Did Hubs do good?
